Himalayan Singing Bowl Workshop @ The Crows Nest Centre, Saturday, 2nd November, 12-3pm
If you're curious about singing bowls, or you'd like to buy a bowl but are not sure where to start - this workshop is for you!
The three hour session is designed for all levels - no previous experience working with singing bowls or musical instruments needed.
We will cover:
- Demonstration of Singing Bowl sounds and timbres
- How to get the most out of your bowl with different strikers and mallets
- The various types of Antique Singing Bowls
- Understanding the note of each bowl - difference between fundamental & overtone frequencies
- New bowls vs old: what to look for when buying a bowl
- Singing Bowl playing instruction, with lots of practical time using genuine antique bowls!
ALL BOWLS WILL BE SUPPLIED ON THE DAY.
If you own a bowl and would like to find out more about it, feel free to bring it along. There will also be a limited number of bowls available for purchase on the day.
This is the only workshop of the year and tickets are limited, so book early to secure your spot!
