Somatic Yoga Movements

 

Somatic Yoga movement is a safe, gentle and effective form of mind-body training, using a series of slow specific movement techniques.

The precise but simple movements of this practice are designed to reconnect and revive your 'brain to muscle' communication: to 're-educate' the brain to regain awareness and motor-control over our muscles.

By practising these movements regularly, your body will 'remember' how to relax chronic muscular tightness (known as sensory-motor amnesia), restore functional movement and undo the effects of habitual stress and unhealthy movement patterns.
